About Tallaght Childcare Centre
The Tallaght Childcare Company Limited was incorporated in the summer of 1997 and began operation in September of the same year.
The vision for the centre was that it would enable parents living in marginalised communities in Tallaght to return to work, training, or education by providing them with an affordable high quality childcare service. Families using our services met one or more of the admissions prioritising criteria of low income, lone parent or accessing training, education, or employment.
We’re Non-For-Profit
Tallaght Childcare Centre is a not-for-profit community childcare enterprise. It is a company limited by guarantee and has charity status. The centre operates from a community business model. The concept has its roots in community development and is concerned with promoting the inclusion and participation of the community in local economic development.
We are currently funded through Pobal under the various streams National Childcare Scheme (NCS), Community Services Programme (CSP), Early Childhood Care and Education Programme (ECCE).
