Tallaght Childcare Centre values the role of parents/guardians as the child’s primary caregiver. Parent’s involvement with the centre is of great importance. It is acknowledged that when parents and professional workers join together, they make a powerful and constructive partnership, which accrues benefits to all.

Tallaght Childcare Centre is committed to promoting parental involvement and to equal opportunity in the delivery of its services by:
- Establishing and maintaining open and honest discussions between staff and parents to ensure the needs of each child and family are met in the most appropriate and practical manner possible.
- Establishing structures that allow for parental involvement in the development of the childcare policies.
- Developing parents/guardians’ involvement in the day to day running of the centre by, for example, helping with outings.
